Your fireplace can start from an architectural drawing, a reference photo or the installation document for the selected firebox. We check the opening size, hearth depth, mantel projection, joint position and exposed edges before cutting. For vein-sensitive surrounds, actual slabs can be photographed and laid out first. Curved profiles and moulded edges go through CNC work, then hand finishing where needed. Multi-piece sets can be dry-fitted, numbered and packed by project before shipment.

GLMStone combines stocked marble slabs, CAD drawing support and 5-axis CNC processing for custom surrounds, mouldings, carved components and full-height fireplace panels. Actual slabs can be reviewed before cutting, while the drawing is used to check opening size, panel dimensions, joint positions and profile details. Curved or carved parts can go through CNC machining first, then receive hand finishing where needed. Multi-piece fireplace sets can also be checked together before packing.

Material samples, slab photos and drawings help designers confirm the marble, proportions, vein direction and fireplace profile before production. For full-height designs, the complete wall elevation and proposed panel division should be supplied together.
The firebox brand, model and installation documents should be confirmed before the stone drawings are prepared. We checks the opening, external trim, surround overlap, hearth and component dimensions against the supplied information. The local contractor remains responsible for appliance installation, fire clearance and compliance with local requirements.
The same fireplace design can be used in different types of rooms, as long as the same shape and material specifications are maintained. Each fireplace product will be packed and labeled according to room number, floor, or installation location.

A marble fireplace normally refers to the decorative stone components rather than the fire-producing appliance. It may include the surround, side jambs, header, mantel shelf, hearth, back panels and full-height wall panels. The gas, electric or wood-burning firebox is usually supplied separately.
Marble is widely used for fireplace surrounds, mantels and hearths, but it should be detailed according to the fireplace model and installation conditions. Uneven heat, natural fissures, insufficient backing or an overly rigid fixing method may increase the risk of cracking.
Start with the fireplace brand & model, not only the visible opening. Confirm the firebox opening, external trim, overall wall width and height, finished floor level, surround overlap, mantel projection and required hearth size.
An existing marble fireplace can be painted after suitable surface preparation and with a compatible coating system. However, the coating permanently covers the natural color and veining and may make later restoration more difficult. For a new fireplace, selecting another marble or changing the surface finish is usually the better option.

Remove loose dust and soot with a soft, dry cloth. Clean the marble with water and a neutral cleaner suitable for natural stone, then wipe the surface dry. Avoid acidic cleaners, abrasive powders and hard brushes, as they may etch, dull or scratch the marble surface.
