Marble Desk Engineering & Manufacturing Solutions
To improve the structural stability of marble desks, we embed a steel subframe beneath the tabletop. It helps distribute the stone weight across the base, reducing stress on the tabletop while keeping the support structure compact and maintaining comfortable legroom.
With precise CNC drilling, pop-up power rails and under-desk cable trays can be integrated into the desk structure. Cable positions are planned around the required IT setup, keeping power and data connections organized while reducing exposed wiring on the marble surface.
All marble tabletops receive multi-layer nano-sealing treatment before shipment to reduce liquid absorption during daily use. Rounded or bullnose edges are also applied where required, giving the desk a smoother touch while reducing sharp corners and the risk of edge chipping during use.
The desks use a modular KD structure so the marble top, reinforced metal base and connectors can be separated for transport. Each part is protected and packed individually in export wooden crates, helping reduce shipping volume while making site handling and assembly easier.

A 1.5-meter-long solid marble desk typically weighs between 250 and 400 pounds, depending on the thickness of the board (usually 20 to 30 millimeters) and the base material. GLM has designed a heavy-duty base with an integrated structural subframe that evenly distributes the weight, reducing the risk of damage to office floors.
To prevent edge chipping caused by drilling into the stone later, we will pre-customize cable holes, embedded pop-up power rails, and concealed under-desk cable channels on the marble slabs according to your IT infrastructure, thus solving the problem of messy sockets and wires.
Artificial marble is made from synthetic resin compounds, resulting in a more uniform surface, lower water absorption, and easier daily cleaning. Natural stone slabs, on the other hand, possess realistic textures and the feel of natural stone, allowing them to maintain their commercial value for decades.
Our construction platform features a modular, detachable (KD) structure. Both the panels and the reinforcing frame are individually packaged in heavy-duty, shock-resistant wooden crates conforming to ISPM-15 standards, ensuring convenient transport during construction.
Marble tabletops are suitable for everyday office use. Coffee, tea, ink, cosmetics, or acidic cleaners should not remain on the surface for extended periods. We seal the surface before shipping and recommend a matte or polished finish depending on usage. We suggest cleaning with a soft cloth and a neutral detergent.
