How GLM Efficiently Reduces Marble Sinks Maintenance Costs

This addresses the many fine pores inherent in marble, which easily absorb water and cause color bleeding.
We address these issues step by step, addressing them at the source. First, at the raw material stage, a penetrating sealing treatment is permeable, using a highly permeable nano-level sealant to enter the micropores inside the stone, forming a protective foundation to reduce water absorption. After the product is processed, a surface seal is performed again. Through a high-density sealing coating, a uniform protective film is formed, which not only enhances stain resistance but also prevents affecting the marble’s natural texture and feel.
This “internal penetration + surface sealing” approach can significantly improve the durability of marble washbasins and make subsequent cleaning and maintenance easier, thereby reducing long-term usage costs.
GLM Marble Sink Customization Process

For each marble sink order, we first check the marble name, outside size, basin depth, drain hole, faucet hole, edge shape and packing way. If the client has drawing, photo or installation request, these details are checked together before cutting. Basin depth and hole position should not be decided only by appearance, otherwise installation may be difficult later.

After the stone block or slab comes to the factory, we make basic protection on the surface first. Then workers cut, hollow out and shape the sink according to the confirmed drawing. The inner basin, outside profile, rim and visible sides are polished by hand. For carved outside shape or special edge, the processing time will be longer than a normal basin.

Marble has natural pores, so the sink will be sealed after polishing. This treatment can reduce water mark, soap stain and dirt absorption during daily use. It does not mean the sink can use acid cleaner. For bathroom use, neutral cleaner and soft cloth are still recommended.

Before packing, we check the outside size, basin depth, hole position, edge shape, surface finish and visible defects. Photos can be sent to the client if needed. The basin mouth, inner cavity, drain hole, corners and edges are protected with custom foam. Outside packing uses fumigated wooden crate and frame support. After crate marking, the goods are handed over to the shipping company.
Natural marble has high density and a sturdy structure. With proper maintenance, it can last for 20+ years without any issues.
Natural marble is usually more expensive to make, but in terms of texture, it has better heat resistance than artificial marble. Although made from different materials, the cleaning and maintenance methods are similar.
Wipe with warm water or a neutral pH reagent and a microfiber cloth; if possible, buy a marble-specific cleaner.
Using marble plaster can remove water stains; if the first time doesn’t work, repeat several times until it’s clean.
Because marble is heavy, it is important to ensure sufficient support before installation, such as for cabinets and walls. Check whether the drainage outlet, faucet connector, and water supply pipe connections are accurate, adjust levelness, and seal treatment.
Material selection and cutting, CNC hollows out the stone, carves the exterior shape, polishing, and sealing.
